What is the Rapid Mart?
Rapid Marts are pre packaged, pre built data marts having Master and Transaction tables for specific subject areas or modules.
At its core, this entire process of building a data mart such as architecture, process of moving data using ETL, metadata, BI etc is exactly what you get with a Rapid Mart. Pre built ETL programs are developed using SAP Business Objects Data Services and packaged reports are built using Business Objects. This means you get prewritten ETL transformations which are ready for modules or subjects areas of specific applications like SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft or Siebel. Rapid Marts also provide sample metadata and content.
