Where We Came From
Beginning in 2003, a group of ex-Business Objects and SAP employees realized that industry needed a focus on the intricacies of critical data management work. The benefits of automated business intelligence were just being discovered by the business community and there was a realization that the lifecycle of information needed to reach all the way back into the standards, procedures, and systems in which the source data was created. Expedien quickly launched into helping its customers understand how to leverage their data technology investments and helping the vendors understand how their customers could fully utilize their software stack. A deep technical understanding combined with a belief that customer services and relentless delivery excellence was paramount to maintaining long term relationships lead the founders to create a company different than the rest; a company that exclusively focuses on bringing the most value from a company’s most underutilized resource…its data. Expedien provided un-parallel data management service to its early customers and the company grew rapidly along with the evolution of the understanding of how to leverage data into actionable information. Expedien was recognized as the 6th largest technology consulting firm in Houston and selected for the Inc. 5000 for two years in a row in 2010 and 2011.
